Keywords – what are keywords? These are words or phrases that accurately reflect the subject and content of your website.
When you write content for your website, keep it simple. Give the visitor the info they need to get a clear understanding of what you are offering, but keep it simple. Many website visitors will scan the content and this is especially true on the main page.
Give your visitors some bits of information to attract their attention, but not too much. Your goal is to entice them to look further, not to bore them.
In writing, we call this a “hook” or say that you need to “grab” the reader. Your website visitors need the same “hook” to “grab” them. This simple and effective blurb will draw them into your site. It can also help them locate the products or services on your site that will appeal to them.
As I mentioned, use effective keywords, but don’t overdo it. You need to choose the best keywords and phrases for your site, Use Free Keyword Research Tools Like UberSuggest, Keyword Tools. However, don’t use them so frequently that the visitor loses the essence of your site and your message.
You can also make a list of possible keywords and do a simple search on your favorite search engines. Take a look at the sites that are the top results. Can you gather any good ideas from them? Also, are these keywords going to attract the customers you need? If not, consider and research new keywords. There are some trial and error in getting the right content. But, keep practicing.
